Theatre In The Park Presents Ira David Wood III’s A Christmas Carol 2021. The Tradition Returns!
A musical comedy adaptation of the Dickens classic. The show has been performed annually since 1974 and was named one of the "Top 20 Events in the Southeast." Cited as "one of the most successful shows in North Carolina theatre history," A Christmas Carol has enjoyed critically acclaimed tours to England and France.
With over one million people having experienced the magic of A Christmas Carol throughout the years, the show regularly sells out. A few of its honors include being named one of the Top 20 Events In The Southeast, the Metro Ovation Award, the Triangle Arts & Entertainment Reader's Choice Award, Proclamations from the Mayor of Raleigh and the Governor of North Carolina, Proclamations from Compiegne, France and Kingston-Upon-Hull, England, and the distinct privilege of being the first theatrical production at DPAC.
IMPORTANT: New COVID Updates!
For our 2021 production of A Christmas Carol, Theatre In The Park’s Board of Directors is requiring proof of full COVID vaccination completed at least 14 days before a performance, or a negative PCR test taken within 72 hours of the performance. Masks are required in all Raleigh and Durham venues.
Vaccination proof can include a physical card, photograph, or photocopy of a completed vaccination card. A negative COVID-19 test may be printed or a digital copy.
Children under the age of 12, who cannot currently get vaccinated, may show proof of a negative PCR test taken within 72 hours of the performance. Entry requirements are subject to change.
