Below are some examples of common volunteer opportunities at Theatre In The Park.  Many other unique opportunites come up from time to time.  Let us know your talents and skills!

FRONT OF HOUSE VOLUNTEERS

Usher: Duties include helping patrons to their seats and handing out playbills (occasionally stuffing them with fliers).

Concessions: Sell snacks and beverages at one of our two concessions areas.  Please be at least 18.

Box Office Assistant & Season Member Lounge Host: Handing out will call tickets to patrons either at the lobby box office or the season member lounge.

TECH CREW/SHOP VOLUNTEERS

Shop Work: We love seasoned professionals with a ton of extra time to dedicate to in-house set building—but we’re also glad to welcome beginners interested in the craft.

Costume Shop: Calling all costumers and seamstresses—we’ve got a great costume shop. 

Backstage: Inclueds props, stage manager, make-up, costume dresser, hairdresser, running crew.  Please be at least 16.

Lights: Two main elements define lighting at Theatre In The Park: hanging lights during Tech Week, and running lights during the show.

Sound: We can use your help with pre-show sound recording and running sound during the show.

OFFICE VOLUNTEERS

What could be more fun than spending an afternoon with your friends labeling newsletters and postcards? Other opportunities include database work, general clerical duties, and distributing posters in the community.

INTERNSHIPS

Internship opportunities available in marketing, development, database management, general office, and technical theatre. Or join our street team to spread the word and poster the Triangle with Theatre In The Park! For internship information or questions about volunteering please email Erin West.
