EDUCATIONAL OPPORTUNITIES

Theatre In The Park recently partnered with the Wade Edwards Learning Lab, or the W.E.L.L., to offer two classes to Wake County high school students this summer.  Tony Pender, whose Theatre In The Park credits include Richard IIIRomeo and Juliet, and director/instructor for The Man From Stratford taught "Understanding and Performing Shakespeare" and "Stage Combat:  Basic Hand to Hand" to 15 students.  After the classes, students came to Theatre In The Park to take a tour and volunteer for part of their required community service project hours.  Students worked in the costume shop, on stage, and in the office.  Theatre In The Park was proud to participate with the W.E.L.L. to help motivate and enrich young people's lives.
